We had the picnic October 2 2010---a cold front was coming thru that afternoon--nearly froze. No rain just the wind that comes after and as the afternoon progressed the cooler it got with at least a 15 mile an hour wind that was pretty constant. I started out with jeans, t-shirt and long sleeved button shirt and a bucket hat because of the wind--by the time me and my husband left, I had added a hoodie and a wool triple thick Colombian sweater or was it my husband's plastic windbreaker--haha ( I knew it was going to get cold so I brought a lot of layers--hard now to remember which layers I had added by the end of the night--also got a migraine right after eating (sulfites or msg was the most likely culprit since they are pervasive in food stuffs these days).
Needless to say with the ensuing cold, we didn't have the bonfire and singing and there was another party of Bellevue Alums just down the road (many went to both)--mostly people ate and left or left just after dark --many because they were freezing their asses off.

Anybody Want to Write for This Blog?
Since I can't think of a thing to post, it would be nice to have help and insight. So if there is someone out there that is an alumni of Bellevue High that would like to contribute, let me know. The easiest and quickiest way to contact me till I get my flood damage taken care of is just to message me on Facebook.
Remember the whole point of this was/is to get the attention of those alumni who don't know there is a gathering number of us on Facebook that want to reconnect.

Repost: All Nashville, Tennessee Bellevue Owls Alumni
If you went to Bellevue High School in Nashville, TN (not the middle school all you MySpace kids who seem to think there is no difference) and are on MySpace or signed up for Classmates(if you were like me, your credit card got some extra charges if you got a paid subscript)--come to FaceBook. Here's some links: Class of 76 and Bellevue High.
Well you can send a message as a comment to this blog too. The reason I say come to Facebook? Well, we have an organized effort going on to find lost classmates and there is less minutia to get through. At Classmates, you have to pay for a premium service to be able to really contact anyone. At MySpace there's a Bellevue High Alumni but it's overrun with Bellevue Middle School Students or posers.
Here's some people that are lost from the Class of 76:
Linda Ann Green Fox
Alan Hahn
Vicki Pickle
Tamara Lynn Kellog
James Edward King
Ruby Lane
Janet Manning found but she doesn't seem to want contact
Tammy Marshall
Kim Llean Martin
Kenny Elmore
Pam Meche
Perry Mills
Tanya Reed
Karyne Richardson
Mitchell Riggan
Cheryl Saggese
Greg Sawyer
Judy Darlene Bowker found
Donna Bowker found
Dennis Bowker found
Sandy Stein
Tommy Wiley
Pam Parrish have contacted her employer but she's on sick leave
Kathy Pendergrast-- it's Penticost
Caroll Fisher

Bellevue Owls' Class of 1976's Annual Picnic is Set for October 2
There was a committee meeting on Saturday that sadly I was too sick to attend, but a date was set for the Annual Picnic for the Owls Class of '76. More details to follow as it becomes available. As it stands the date for the Picnic will be October 2.

Calling all Bellevue High School Owls
Sad to say with the closing of Bellevue High School, we lost the ability most high schools have to keep up with fellow classmates. There's no rolls or Alumni Association to do it for us, we have had to scrape around and try to do it with only the help of yearbooks. And guess what? A lot of us didn't hang around for class pictures. I might have been smoking back behind the middle school gym with folks like Matt Hadden, Tim Johnson and Melissa Ward.I had my picture made the first year I was there (8th grade), but when I found out I could skip it, I did (I hate pictures of me--they are usually bad).
What does this all mean? We can't find a lot of our alums because we have forgotten their names simply because they weren't in the yearbook or lost touch with us. Some of us seem to be getting forgetful too, and we just can't remember anyone's names anymore. We can't find another group of alums because they have disappeared into parts unknown. Some just got married and have an different name. Some I suspect don't want to be found and others don't know they are lost.
So this is just a plea for those old Owls from Nashville, Tennessee's Bellevue High--contact us. Even if you just want to tell us to leave you alone--well that will be alright too.
